The Chesham Allotments Group (CAG) covers 256 allotments across two sites in Chesham: Cameron Road and Asheridge Road. The allotments are owned, maintained and managed by Chesham Town Council. Allotment tenants are represented to the Council by CAG, consisting of 13 allotment holders and one town councillor.

CAG is a non-profit service organisation intended to provide both information and inspiration.

  • Allotments are rented out to residents of the area and are governed by a Tenancy Agreement which sets out specific rules and processes
  • Chesham Allotments Group has an active social calendar through the summer months including, 28 coffee mornings, two Fish & Chips & Quiz evenings, a Summer Social for all Chesham organisations, and an Open Day for the community held in August
  • The Cameron Road allotments have been owned by Chesham Town Council since 1974. However, allotments have a long history in Chesham and had existed on the Taylors Farm site (now the Cameron Road site) since Victorian times. In 2015 we celebrated our 100-year anniversary!
  • CAG is governed by a set of terms of reference and every representative to the group has specific responsibilities.
