SUMMARY:Chesham Allotments Open Day 2022
DESCRIPTION:The Allotment Open Day is back for 2022 on 13 August\, between 10am and 1pm. \nAs usual\, we have our produce stall featuring fruit and vegetables grown at our sites (all donations gratefully received) plus a variety of art and craft stalls\, plants\, raffle and children’s activity. The Theatre Shed will also be giving a tour at 1130 of the work which has gone on into transforming their plot. All of this alongside a huge selection of delicious homemade treats (again\, all cake donations gratefully received.) \nDo come along and encourage your friends\, families and neighbours too! \nUPDATE: the weather is due to be exceptionally hot – we will have some shady areas available\, but we recommend sunscreen and a hat\, at least! \n

SUMMARY:Spud in a Bucket competition 2020
DESCRIPTION:We’re still holding our annual ‘Spud in a Bucket’ competition. Whilst the potatoes don’t need to be socially distanced in their bucket\, all attendees will!  But don’t let that put you off. \nNormally\, we’d be setting out the tables and chairs and selling tea/coffee and cakes\, but this hasn’t happened so far in 2020 and the committee has decided against any catering on the day.  However\, we’re encouraging you to bring your own drinks and there will be plenty of suitable spaced out places to sit and enjoy a socially distanced social morning – and a chance to see how the potatoes have fared in their buckets this year! \nWe look forward to you joining us!
