Drought conditions

As we’ve now gone into a hosepipe ban situation and the rain is still yet to come, we thought it would be a good time to remind all plot-holders about water use on the sites.

There are plenty of water tanks across all three sites – some are self-filling, whilst others have a manual tap. In the case of the latter, please ensure that you re-fill the tank when you have finished using it, so it is ready for others to get water from.

Finally, it IS acceptable to use a hosepipe to fill water butts on your plots, so no-one should be necessarily concerned if they see a hosepipe leading from a tap to a plot. However, it is not permitted to use a hosepipe for any watering – this applies at all times and not just during the current hosepipe ban.
