Notice of AGM 2026
September 1, 2026As the growing season winds down, it’s a good moment to look ahead – not just to next year’s crops, but to the future of our allotment community. The Chesham Allotments Group (CAG) and its committee work throughout the year to protect our sites, represent plot holders and keep all three allotment sites running smoothly.
It’s rewarding, sociable work that keeps our allotments thriving – but with several long serving members about to stand down after many years of service on the committee, we’re looking to welcome a few new faces.
You don’t need any specialist knowledge or years of experience. What matters most is a willingness to get involved – whether that’s attending a few meetings throughout the year, helping to set up events, or perhaps lending a bit of muscle when we tackle the occasional heavier job around the sites. Even small contributions make a big difference, and many hands really do lighten the load.
Over the last year or so, some of the issues which the committee has worked on include improving access to Cameron Road South (steps and safety rail) and liaising with the council to have some very overgrown trees at Asheridge Road reduced to benefit nearby plotholders.
We’ve recently heard from plot holders who appreciate CAG’s clear communications, allotment community events and the steady improvements across our three sites. If you’d like to help shape that progress, support your fellow growers and play a part in protecting our allotments for the future, we’d love to hear from you.
